Stromberg Carlson 1243 by Stromberg Carlson, 1946 | This is a beautiful phone. The 1243 model desk telephone was developed by Stromberg-Carlson to compete with the Western Electric 302. The main difference in the design is the corner cropping of the 1243. The phone has a die-cast zinc housing, #20 handset style, and includes a network circuit. Stromberg-Carlson was able to produce these phones with the network circuit three years before Western Electric put the circuits in their 500-type telephones. For an additional $10, we can install black cloth cords on the phone. |
