by Western Electric , | This is a beautiful oval base rotary dial WE 202 desk phone from the 1920s that was gold plated in the 1950s. Designed by Henry Dreyfus, The WE 202 was first introduced in 1926. Some folks have nicknamed it the "French Phone". These gold plated phones were given out as gifts or awards by the telephone company in the 1950s. It is the only phone from the 1920s that was refurbished this way. The unit comes with a separate wall ringer. |
