Automatic Electric 40

Price: $175.00

This Automatic Electric Monophone (AE 40) was introduced in late 1930s, and was used throughout the later 30's, 40's and 50's in the United States & Canada. It was made by Automatic Electric Company of Chicago. Sometimes referred to as the Shirley Temple telephone. Beautiful art deco appeal. Rotary dial. Some units have curled rubber handset cords and some have straight rubber handset cords. A phone like this can be seen in the movies Godfather Part II, The Matrix & The Notebook to name a few. A great decorator item.
